Even though the release date of the upcoming Man of Steel 2 also being called Superman vs. Batman has been pushed back more than a year, the film is moving forward with more casting news. Holly Hunter, Tao Okamoto and Callan Mulvey have joined the cast.
Variety reported that all three actors will be playing new characters that have been created for the film.
Hunter, Mulvey, who was seen recently in 300: Rise of an Empireand Okamoto are joining an already packed cast which includes Ben Affleck, Henry Cavil, Jesse Eisenberg, Jeremy Irons, Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne and Diane Lane, in addition to Gal Gadot, who was cast as Wonder Woman.
Okamoto was last seen in another popular comic book movie franchise Wolverine, Indie Wire added.
No other information about these characters has yet to be released.
Production on Man of Steel 2 is already underway in Michigan. The new release date for the highly anticipated film is May 6, 2016.
