Winner: Movie 43
What was this movie even about? The film consisted of mini movies with big named celebs in them. I am curious to know what the actual script looked like because the movie was just an absolute mess.
Were the celebs blackmailed into doing the film? I mean, that many actors can’t sign up for a really, really bad movie willingly. Elizabeth Banks, Hugh Jackman, Chris Pratt, Kate Winslet and plenty of other celebrities put their names in on the project. It’s sad, actually.
Movie 43 was one of the worst films of the year. It won three awards at the Golden Raspberry Awards on Saturday. Rotten Tomatoes called this movie rotten and only 4 percent of critics liked it.
The saddest part of giving Movie 43 this award is that 20 people worked together to write the script. To put that into perspective, it only took two people to write American Hustle and one person to write the screenplay for the Academy Award for Best Picture winner, 12 Years a Slave.
