10. Worst Adapted Screenplay
Winner: Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters
Can we count this movie as an adaptation of the original Hansel and Gretel fairy tale? I say yes. While Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter had the same tone and was adapted from a book, it didn’t take itself too seriously. Witch Hunters, however, took all of the fun out of it.
The lame 3D graphics found a way to make the movie seem too cheesy and left the audience rolling their eyes as the characters hunted the witches. Plus, there was no real drive to kill the witches. It just seemed like a big chunk of the story was missing.
Not only is it on the list of the worst movies, the critics hated it too. Rotten Tomatoes called this movie rotten and only 15 percent of critics liked it.
