3. Jack Palance
Jack Palance won the award for Best Supporting Actor in City Slicker at the 1992 Oscar’s. At 72, Palance dropped to the ground in the middle of his speech to do a set of push-ups. His point had been to show that age is just a number and call out producers for their hesitancy in casting older actors. Whether or not his physical display made a lasting difference on the industry we can’t say, but we can say that it definitely has gone down in Oscar history.
