1. Robert Opel
The most famous Oscar incident is the 1974 streaker, Robert Opel. While David Niven is introducing Elizabeth Taylor, Opel comes quickly running naked across the stage. Niven even makes a famous quip about the man’s “shortcomings.” Some believe the incident was planned, but regardless, the Oscar Streaker has earned his place as the number 1 weirdest thing to ever happen at the Oscars.
