1. Forgiving
One of the best moments in Tangled comes when Rapunzel and Mother Gothel have their final scene together. It comes after Flynn cuts Rapunzel’s hair, releasing her from Mother Gothel’s power. As Mother Gothel flails about the tower, aging rapidly, she trips. Just before she falls to her death, we get the best moment of forgiveness in Disney history: Rapunzel reaches out her hands to pull Mother Gothel back to safety. She reaches out to the woman who stole her from her family, imprisoned her in a tower, and stabbed the love of her life. She forgives.
