“When You Wish Upon a Star” from the 1940 animated film Pinocchio has to be the most well known Disney song to this day. Heard in mostly every Disney commercial, theme park and fire work show, the song is the all time anthem of Disney. Famous little character, Jiminy Cricket sings the song to the hopeful wooden puppet Pinocchio, who longs to be a real boy. The song tells us how to wish upon a star to make his dreams come true and has also taught every boy and girl who has ever loved Disney to do the exact same.
