2. King of the Hill
This show has its enemies, but once you bother to actually watch a few episodes, it's difficult not to get caught up in the characters. It's extremely down to earth--almost everything that happens could easily happen in real life--but I love its sense of subtlety and absurdity in every-day life.
The characters are all brilliantly drawn, consistent, and hilarious, if you bother to understand the sensibility of it all.
