Emma Watson is admitting that she envies other actors who did grow up in the limelight, like she did thanks to her role as Hermione Granger in the Harry Potter series.
In an interview for Elle’s April issue, the 23-year-old actress said she’s “so jealous” of up-and-coming actors.
"There are all these actresses who have emerged in the last year or two, and they get to emerge as this complete human being," she said.
When the Harry Potter series wrapped, Watson attended college at Brown and Oxford but she eventually got back to work in films like The Perks of Being A Wallflower and The Bling Ring. Next up is Darren Aronofsky’s Noah, which hits theaters March 28.
She drew comparisons to Elizabeth Taylor, saying she used her as a model of a career and life she did not want to have, Daily News reports.
"She had her first kiss in character," she explained. "On a movie set. It really struck me. I don't know how or why, but I had this sense that if I wasn't really careful, that could be me … that my first kiss could be in somebody else's clothes. And my experiences could all belong to someone else."
