5. Homer's Enemy Season 8 Episode 23
This has been one of the darkest and most controversial Simpsons episodes to date. It features the only appearance of Frank Grimes, who becomes Homer's enemy, as described in the episode's title. Grimes is hired to work in the Springfield Nuclear Power Plant in the same area that Homer and his friends work in. Grimes notices Homer's laziness and incompetence, and he increasingly becomes more angry with Homer since he seems to skate by. Meanwhile, Bart buys a factory for a dollar at an auction, which is located in an abandoned building.
