7. Grease
This 1978 American musical film was based on Warren Casey's and Jim Jacobs's 1971 musical of the same name about two lovers in a 1950s high school. Travolta played the smooth-talking Danny Zuko, who learns that his summer fling, Sandy Olsen, just transferred to his high school, Rydell High. Miscommunications and groovy dance numbers filled the movie as Travolta swung his hips to and fro and female moviegoers squirmed in their seats.
