"It's a Beautiful Day" was the first single released form his sixth major-labeled studio album, To Be Loved, in 2013. The song's cheerful melody was well praised by critics. It reached No. 7 on the Billboard Adult Contemporary chart. The album is currently nominated for Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album at the 2014 Grammy Awards.
