"Bittersweet" was the first single released from her third studio album Back to Me. The single peaked at No. 7 on the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop chart. It earned Fantasia her first Grammy Award for Best Female R&B Vocal Performance at the 2011 Grammy Awards. She was also the last recipient of this award due to its discontinuation in 2011 because of the abundance of Grammy categories. It was also nominated for the Grammy for Best R&B Song.
