Alt-J
Alt-J is an Indie Rock band consisting of Joe Newman (guitar, lead vocals), Gus Unger-Hamilton (keyboards, vocals) and Thom Green (drums). The band has also had a fourth member, Gwil Sainsbury (guitar, bass), but he decided to leave the band in January this year with the support of the rest of the band members. The band's name appears either as Alt-J or triangle (∆) that can be typed on Mac OS X when you hit the keys alt and j. Clever, right? Alt-J has released a Demo EP ∆ (2011) and a debut studio album An Awesome Wave (2012). I don't think that there is a word in the dictionary suitable enough to describe Alt-J's music, because they are so out-of-the-box. Also, Newman's voice is one of the most unique male voices you'll ever hear. The band is best known for their single "Breezeblocks."
