How you know him: He was in The Lucky One. His breakout role was as Troy Bolton in the mega-successful High School Musical.
Why he should: He is an actor and a singer. He has experience with musicals - four movie/TV musicals to be exact.
Why he shouldn't: He hasn't done live theater or singing. When his High School Musical cast mates went on tour, he couldn't go because he was filming another movie. Also, it is questionable if his singing abilities are reliable, someone else sang for him the entire first High School Musical film.
