Wilmer Valderrama joins cast of 'Castro’s Daughter'

Wilmer Valderrama, star of the popular That 70s Show sitcom, has just signed on to be a part of the upcoming Castro’s Daughter.

Valderrama will not be the main star in the film, that role already has been decided. Variety added that Sandino Moreno came on board to the film back in November for the role of Alina Fernandez.

Vaderrama will be seen on screen opposite Catalina Sandino Moreno. The film will be a historical drama which will tell the story of prosecution under the Castro regime and how a childhood friend of the main character is ordered to leave during a time which Castro emptied his jails and allowed 125,000 refugees to flee to the United States.

The film already has a director attached to the project, Sarah Siegel-Magness and Gary Magness will producing under the banner of Smokewood Entertainment.

Another hire for the film includes, Brigitte Broch, who won an Oscar for her work on Moulin Rouge.

The production is set to start filming in late March on location in Puerto Rico, Yahoo reported.
