3. Gyaneshwar Express Derailment, India
On May 28, 2010, a train in north-east India derailed, killing more than 65 people and injuring 200 more. According to The Guardian, the derailment was caused by Maoist rebels who removed 50 cm of train track and left messages behind claiming responsibility for the tragedy.
