8. Badrashin Derailment, Egypt
In January of this year, a military train carrying recruits to Cairo derailed after part of the train became detached and crashed into another train, reported BBC News. Egypt is known for a terrible transportation safety record, with 50 children dying after their bus was struck by a train less than three months before this derailment.
