9. Jiangxi Derailment, China
On May 23, 2010, a train derailed in China's Jiangxi Province, killing 19 people and injuring 71, 11 of which were seriously injured, reported China Daily. The derailment was caused by debris and damage to the tracks following a landslide, according to a press release by China's Ministry of Railways. Below is an animation of the accident.
