10. Halle Collision, Belgium
On Feb. 15, 2010, two passenger trains carrying as many as 600 people collided head-on in a small village near Brussels, a crash which killed 18 and injured more than 80, according to The New York Times. It was the deadliest railroad accident in Belgium in 25 years.
