Few could forget this horrific accident that occurred in July of this year. On July 24, a passenger train carrying 218 people derailed near the Spanish town of Santiago de Compostela, killing 79 and injuring dozens more, Daily News reported. It was later found that the conductor was going more than twice the speed limit moments before taking a curve. The deadly crash was the worst Spain has suffered in decades.
