8. How the Grinch Stole Christmas (1966)
This Grinch movie is the original animated version that was released in 1966. How the Grinch Stole Christmas is originally a book by Dr. Seuss. It is a familiar story: the Grinch hates Christmas and all the people of Whoville. So, he steals all of the presents, the trees, the lights, every physical object synonymous with Christmas. Afterwards, when the Whos celebrate Christmas even without the gifts and the decorations, he realizes that Christmas doesn't come from a store, gives back everything he stole, and joins in on the celebrations.
The Grinch is on my top list simply because it is a classic holiday character and, although it is made for children, people of all ages can enjoy it. The newer Jim Carrey version of the film cannot even compete with the classic animated version.
