A Charlie Brown Christmas focuses on how the religious meaning of Christmas meets the commercial side. In this film, Charlie Brown is upset because he thinks that people have forgotten the “real meaning of Christmas.” He does his best to pass this message along to his friends.
While A Charlie Brown Christmas is a movie, it originated as a television special, based on Charles M. Schulz's Peanuts characters. From 1965-2000, it showed on CBS each year, but it has been shown on ABC every year since 2001.
