8. “Happy New Year,” Abba
New Year’s Eve is quite possibly the most overrated holiday celebrated. Let’s not pretend that it’s ever a good time, or not a complete disappointment. Luckily, Abba seems to feel the same way as they sing this depressing monotoned song that’s basically about giving up. Just look at these uplifting lyrics: "Seems to me now that the dreams we had before are all dead/Nothing more than confetti on the floor."
