1. “Christmas Shoes,” NewSong
This song is meant to touch the hearts of listeners and lead them to the supreme appreciation that the holiday season encourages. It does just the opposite. This song inspires pure fury, the story is too cheesy to inspire and why does Jesus care what sort of shoes this kid’s mom is wearing? That sounds pretty judgmental. Above all, this song includes a chorus of underdeveloped voices singing in unison which is my nightmare.
