Voice messages from Prince William to his now-wife, Kate Middleton, from 2006 were played in a courtroom on Thursday as part of the News of the World lawsuit concerning hacking the phones of prominent figures.

In one message, the Duke of Cambridge calls the Duchess “babykins.”

"Babykins, just tried ringing you, hope you're alright," he said, and in another, said "Hi baby. Um, sorry, I've just got back off my night navigation exercise. I've been running around the woods of Aldershot chasing shadows and getting horribly lost, and I walked into some other regiment's ambush, which was slightly embarrassing because I nearly got shot. Not by live rounds, but by blank rounds, which would have been very embarrassing, though."

Us Weekly notes another message, which was taken from Prince Harry’s phone, shows someone mocking his ex-girlfriend Chelsy Davy. It was left by a male impersonating a woman’s voice, which is thought to be his brother teasing him.

“You are the best looking ginger I have ever seen!" the unknown male said. "It's lovely out here in Africa and hopefully I'll see you very soon you big hairy fat ginger."

The Guardian reports a voicemail from Sandhurst commandant Andrew Ritchie to Prince William's private secretary Jamie Lowther-Pinkerton, from 2006, indicates “an incident” happened at Prince Harry’s military academy passing out ceremony.

An email shown in court notes that "William and his group were massively drunk and upsetting other guests with their braying, hooray Henry antics.”

News of the World ran stories on all these incidents, branding them as “exclusives.”
