3. 'Catch Me If You Can'
This 2002 autobiographical crime drama had DiCaprio co-starring with two-time Academy Award winner Tom Hanks. DiCaprio played Frank Abagnale, Jr, who before his 19th birthday, performed cons posing as a Pan American Airways pilot, a Louisiana prosecutor and a Georgia doctor. His primary crime was bank fraud as throughout the movie, DiCaprio’s Abagnale Jr., succeeded in defrauding the US government out of millions of dollars with Carl Hanratty, (Hanks) a FBI bank fraud agent hot on his heels. In the end, Abagnale Jr., was caught and actually ended up working for the FBI to catch other forgers since he was so proficient. DiCaprio brought a vulnerability to Abagnale Jr., who was really just a misunderstood kid, who got in over his head. Yet, DiCaprio and Hanks rapport on-screen was heartwarming as at the end moviegoers learned that Abagnale Jr. and Hanratty are still friends to this day.
