9. 'Gangs of New York'
This 2002 historical crime drama had DiCaprio co-starring with Daniel Day-Lewis and Cameron Diaz. Directed by Martin Scorsese, DiCaprio played Amsterdam Vallon, who returned to the dangerous Five Points area of New York City seeking revenge against Bill “The Butcher” Cutting (Day-Lewis) who killed his father. Vallon met pickpocket/gifter Jenny Everdeane (Diaz) and they bonded as Vallon tried time and again to avenge his father. DiCaprio and Diaz’s on-screen chemistry was raw as they portrayed life during the vicious, unyielding time.
