2. 'The Man in the Iron Mask'

This 1998 action adventure flick had DiCaprio starring with four of Hollywood’s biggest names, Jeremy Irons, Gabriel Byrne, Gérard Depardieu and John Malkovich. DiCaprio played the ruthless King Louis XIV of France, who was hiding a dark secret. He had a twin brother, Phillipe, who he kept locked in the Bastille behind an iron mask to hide his identity and his very existence. Irons, Bryne, Depardieu and Malkovich played the famous Musketeers, Aramis, D’Artagnan, Porthos and Athos, respectively. Athos, Porthos and Aramis set out to replace the heartless king with his kind-hearted twin in an effort to save France’s starving population. DiCaprio gave a stellar performance in the dual role, ceaselessly morphing from the cruel Louis to the caring Phillpe without missing a beat.
