5. 'Akeelah and the Bee'
This film tells the story of Akeelah Anderson, an 11-year-old from a troubled neighborhood and torn family. She enters the spelling bee and is helped by her coach, Dr. Larabee. She not only brings her family together, but the whole town becomes stronger because of her success.
