This was released as a bonus track on Adams’ 1993 greatest hits compilation titled So Far So Good. It’s Adams’ only Australian #1 single not written for a motion picture. It also reached #7 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 and #2 on the UK Singles Chart. A slow power ballad, it has an instrumental intro, which is only found on the album version of the song. Adams sings for forgiveness from his love, croons about how he longs for her and recalls certain milestones in their relationship, with lyrics like, “Still feels like our first night together/Feels like the first kiss, it's gettin' better baby/No one can better this.../Still holdin' on, you're still the one… You're the only one I ever want./I only wanna make it good/So if I love you a little more than I should.../Please forgive me ‒ I know not what I do./Please forgive me ‒ I can't stop lovin' you/Don't deny me, this pain I'm going through... Please forgive me if I need you like I do./Please believe me, every word I say is true.../Please forgive me I can't stop loving you.” Adams’ tender vocals put the point across and it’s the perfect song to play when one is seeking absolution from a loved one.
