6. Chronicles of Narnia
These fantasy novels, written by C. S. Lewis, were published from 1950 to 1956. It is a collection of stories involving the magical land of Narnia, and its mystical creator Aslan. The first film, The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, was released in 2005 and directed by Andrew Adamson. It follows the book very well, not leaving out a lot of details. It also had great costumes and computer graphics, making it more enjoyable. The two films that followed, Prince Caspian, also directed by Adamson, and The Voyage of the Dawn Treader directed by Michael Apted, did not get as much attention as the first, but it did come out during the Harry Potter craze. Maybe its fourth installment, The Silver Chair, will bring this classic series back to life.
