3) Barney (1994, 1997)
In 1994, Barney bumped into a lamp post and ripped open. The handlers were luckily able to steer him off the parade route and no one was hurt. Then, in 1997, the loveable purple dinosaur caught wind and broke free of the handlers' control. When he tore open, NYPD were able to stab him down completely (to the horror of the children in the crowd), and again, no one was injured. The Pink Panther was also brought down by the NYPD in 1997.
