Fox is developing a half-hour comedy based off Miami Heat star Dwyane Wade's book Father First.

Deadline reports that the show will be called Three The Hard Way and is based off Wade's best-selling book on his thoughts about being a father to his two sons. The book also looks at the basketball player's life and struggles while growing up.

The show is being written by Burn Notice's Ben Watkins. The three-time NBA championship winner and Watkins, along with Mandalay Sports Media's Mike Tollin, Justin Lin, Danielle Woodrow and Troy Craig Poon, are executive producing the show.

Three The Hard Way will follow Daryl Wade who, along with help from his friends, must care for two boys after suddenly getting of his two young boys, according to TheWrap.

The show is the first TV project for Wade's ZZ Productions. The superstar is in his 10th season in the NBA and with the Miami Heat. At 31-years-old, Wade is averagine 16.7 points, 5.2 assists and 4.6 rebounds a game for the 2013-2014 season, which is down from his career average numbers.
