Fans of the country group Lady Antebellum will have to wait a little longer to hear hits like “Goodbye Town” and “Downtown” live. The group has announced that they will be postponing their Take Me Downtown tour until Jan. 10, 2014.
Hilary Scott, Dave Haywood and Charles Kelley have been taking a break from the country music industry after Scott gave birth to her daughter, Eisele Kaye, earlier this summer.
According to Lady Antebellum's official website , the changes to the tour will accommodate the release of the deluxe version of their most recent album, Golden. These changes will give fans the best tour possible.
CBS reported that Lady Antebellum would be releasing a deluxe version of their album, Golden on November 12th. The deluxe edition will feature the latest single from Lady Antebellum, “Compass.” The band was quoted as saying that this song was “love at first listen" and that they could not pass on the opportunity to have this single on Golden.
The Take Me Downtown tour will still feature “Hey Pretty Girl” singer Kip Moore and Kacy Musgraves as opening acts on the more than 60-date tour. Tickets will be honored at the rescheduled dates.
