1) High School Musical (2006, 2007, 2008)
In the franchise that started it all, teenage Efron starred in his breakout role as high school basketball star/ singer Troy Bolton. Bolton is also the love interest of Vanessa Hudgen’s character (who Efron dated afterwards in real life for several years). The Disney flick became one of the most successful TV movies of all time, leading to a second and third installment for High School Musical, and a great career for Efron.
