Dina Lohan appeared in court on Tuesday and pleaded not guilty to drunken driving charges, stemming from an arrest earlier this month.

Before being released without bail, the 50-year-old had her driver's license suspended, CBS News reports.

In court, Lohan's lawyer, Mark Heller, said that she does not have a criminal record.

Heller told Entertainment Tonight that "Dina Lohan is a good person."

"Her life has been dedicated to her four children. She had worked hard her entire life and she has been a 'Parent Trapped' with the entire world watching her in a fishbowl with murky water due to no fault of her own."

As previously reported, Lindsay Lohan's mother was arrested earlier in the month for a DWI and speeding after she failed a breathalyzer test. Her blood alcohol level was .20, more than double the legal limit.

TMZ said at the time that Lohan had been partying particularly hard in the days leading up to her arrest, especially over the Labor Day weekend.
