While Woody Allen didn’t give himself a role in his latest film, Blue Jasmine, the iconic writer/director will be seen on the big screen in front of a camera this year. Allen stars in John Turturro’s Fading Gigolo and the trailer for the film has just been released.

Fading Gigolo was first announced in February and Allen plays a bookshop owner who suddenly decides to pimp out his friend, played by Turturro, who also directed. The plot gets moving when Allen tells Turturro that he was offered to take part in a threesome, but since he’s in his 70s, he figured that it wasn’t a good idea. They then hatch the idea to make some quick money and allen becomes Turturro’s pimp.

Sharon Stone also stars, along with Modern Family’s Sofia Vergara. The film is set in New York City.

The trailer was posted by the Toronto International Film Festival, which will be hosting the film’s world premiere. The festival runs from Sept. 5-15.

Allen’s Blue Jasmine is currently in limited release. While Allen doesn’t act often in his films anymore, he did cast himself in 2012’s To Rome With Love.
