6. Game of Thrones: Theon Greyjoy and two women
Even for an HBO show, this series can be especially full of sex, violence, and sometimes both at the same time. Season 3, episode 7, "The Bear and the Maiden Fair," contains a scene that involves both, and it's one of the series' most unforgettably cruel moments. Theon Greyjoy, the pitiful man who was raised by the Starks because his father sold him as a war debt, is being repeatedly tortured by the sadistic Ramsay Snow. One day he is released from his restraints, cleaned up and cared for by two beautiful women. The two then begin to caress him and one undresses the other, leading to a threesome. There's nakedness, dry humping, moaning... and then a horn blows, signaling the women to walk away. Enter: Ramsay. He gives a speech about how Theon is known for loving women but they don't love him. Then he starts threatening to cut off the very part of his body Theon needs most for his encounters with women, and as the scene cuts out, the deed is done. Audiences are spared the actual image but they hear his blood-curdling scream as it happens. Only Game of Thrones could take a scene that's tantalizingly sexy and turn it into a tragedy. And yet, it's still captivating. Theon gets this ray of light moment and you're happy for him but can't help wonder if something bad is coming. And then the tone shifts and you're shocked at the brutal conclusion even though you kind of expected it. The sheer number of emotions the scene stirs up adds to the sexiness of the actual threesome, making it worthy of this ranking.
