8. Real World Cancun: Pat, Jonna and Ayiiiah
Real World was one of the first reality shows to come about and it was a ground-breaker. It revolved around real strangers living together — partying, exploring their sexuality and hanging out — in a spring break setting. The characters and destination change every season, and the 2009 edition, Real World Cancun, met the preset standards of a boozy, sexy, drama-filled experience. Episode 10, "Three's a Crowd," features one of the more scandalous events in the season: a threesome. One female roommate, Ayiiia, had started exploring bisexuality and set her sights on Jonna, a straight woman then engaged in a fling with male roommate Pat. Ayiiia successfully kisses Jonna at a club one night, and afterwards, back at the house, Ayiiia walks in on Pat and Jonna starting to fool around in one of the rooms. The three move to a bedroom, to Ayiiia and Pat's delight. Nothing too risqué is shown, though kissing is heard/implied before the camera cuts out, and it's not hard to see where things were headed. However, according to a post-season interview with andPOP, Jonna and Pat claim that Ayiiia was soon kicked out and nothing too crazy actually happened. Regardless, it was an entertaining scene since all parties were good-looking, it was unplanned (for the most part) and it was real-life, thus giving any man watching the idea that they, too, could possibly one day experience the fantasy as Pat did.
