2. 'High School Musical' (2006)
The High School Musical series is one of the most watched original movies on the channel. The music tells us the love story of basketball star Troy Bolton (Zac Efron) and the beautiful brainiac Gabriella Montez (Vanessa Hudgens) and their troubles with having friends accept them and even normal problems such as whether they can stay together after college.
The Disney movie was so popular that the third movie of the series was even shown in theaters. While some of the stars of the film haven’t quite made the jump to true stardom, Hudgens, Efron and Ashley Tisdale (who played evil Sharpay) have all been in films. Tisdale was recently seen in Scary Movie 5. Efron has been seen in various films such as The Paperboy. Hudgens was in Spring Breakers and will be in the new film The Frozen Ground.
