Romance: Walter “Gib” Gibson (John Cusack) and Alison Bradbury (Daphne Zuniga)
Hang loose college student, Gibson, plans a trip from New England to California to get laid, and uptight Bradbury decides to make the trip out there to see her long-distance boyfriend. Despite their seemingly simple carpool together, they end up instead hating, and then falling passionately for their fellow road companion and question the “sure things” they have in California.
