In Taylor Swift’s acceptance speech at the MTV Music Video Awards on Sunday, she thanked “the person that inspired this song,” but Harry Styles isn’t too worried over it.
“I like a joke as much as the next guy, so it’s all good,” the One Direction singer told Extra, according to USA Today.
Styles even later posed in a picture along with Swift, Ed Sheeran and DJ Spiky Phil, though on opposite side of the group.
Gossip Center reports that fellow One Direction member, Liam Payne, commented on Swift’s speech saying, “When she said those things about Niall [Horan], we were very, very pissed off. Hashtag get over it.”
Taylor Swift won for Best Female Video for “I Knew You Were Trouble” and said, “I also want to thank the person who inspired this song, who knows exactly who he is, because now I got one of these.”
New York Daily News notes that the “22” singer admitted back in March that “I Knew You Were Trouble” was about Styles, like everyone had assumed.
