7. The Da Vinci Code
In this 2006 flick, Hanks played Robert Langdon, a Harvard professor interested in religious iconography and specific symbols which lead him on a hunt for the truth when a murder mystery leads to clues and hints from Da Vinci paintings that point to an ancient secret society which may transform the basis of Christianity as the modern world knows it.
