8. “Tonight”
From the boys’ hugely successful 1990 album Step by Step, on this song, the boys showed off their harmonizing abilities and in doing so, made even more young girls swoon. With “Tonight,” the boys sang about how much they appreciated all their fans, all around the world. It’s like one giant love letter to all of their fans, with lines like, “Every time we hear the curtain call/See the girls with the curls in the hair/The buttons and the pins and the loud fanfare/Tonight, tonight/Remember when we traveled round the world/There were a lot of people and girls/Fan mail from everywhere showed us how you care.” Knowing how the boys appreciated all of their fans, caused them to be adored even more, as if that was possible.
