3. “On Bended Knee”
Another monster ballad off their 1994 album II, this track talked about regretting losing the love of one’s life and going on one’s knees to get them back. It was undoubtedly a song many guys used to serenade their girlfriends before proposing marriage that year and many years since. The video for the song featured the guys romancing several popular actresses such as Saved by the Bell's Lark Voorhies, The Young and the Restless' Victoria Rowell, Days of our Lives' Renee Jones and The Facts of Life and Living Single alum Kim Fields. The guys sing for forgiveness from these ladies with lyrics such as, “Can we go back to the days when our love was strong/Can you tell me how a perfect love goes wrong/Can somebody tell how to get things back/The way they used to be/Oh G-d give me a reason/I’m down on bended knee.” Personally, I’ve known a few guys who used this song to woo their girlfriends back and thanks to the guys' harmonious melodies…it worked!
