5. Total Recall
An amnesiac freedom fighter/spy was Arnold’s role in this 1990 sci-fi classic. Set in the future, Arnold played an ordinary guy going for a virtual-reality vacation to find out that his mild-mannered life had all been a lie and that he was really a spy. Sharon Stone did a wonderful job as Arnold’s fake wife, who turned on him and kicked his butt quite a few times. The special effects were cutting edge for the time as Arnold battled alongside mutants on Mars. Colin Farrell tried to live up to Arnold’s portrayal in the 2012 remake, but it didn’t hold a candle to the original!
