Actor Jeff Goldblum is returning to the stage, starring in an off-Broadway production titled Domesticated this fall.
The New York Times reports that Domesticated is the new play by Bruce Norris, who won a Pulitzer Prize for Clybourne Park. The Lincoln Center Theatre production commissioned the play, which centers on a politician embroiled in scandal and a crumbling marriage. The production will be staged at Mitzi E. Newhouse Theater with previews starting on Oct. 10 and opening night set for Nov. 4.
According to Broadway.com, Goldblum’s co-star is Laurie Metcalf, who will play the politician’s wife. The rest of the cast includes Vanessa Aspillaga, Robin De Jesus, Lizbeth Mackay, Mary Beth Peil, Emily Meade, Misha Seo and Karen Pittman. August: Osage County director Anna D. Shapiro is directing.
Goldblum recently appeared on Broadway in The Pillowman and Seminar. He is best known for his work in film, including Jurassic Park and Independence Day. It has been reported that he will make an appearance in an Independence Day sequel. He is currently working on director Wes Anderson’s The Grand Budapest Hotel for 2014.
