8. Neutral Milk Hotel - “Two-Headed Boy”
This song is pure poetry. Listening to the lyrics it is apparent that this is no ordinary song. The vocals provided by Jeff Mangum are courageous yet fragile.
It is not necessarily the saddest song in the world, but the vulnerable beauty of it makes it one of the most heartbreaking songs of all time.
