Passengers on Allegiant flight 592 from Las Vegas to Phoenix attempted to make the best of their situation after being stranded on a tarmac for 5 hours by coming together in song.
The passengers on the flight posted a video to YouTube describing their situation saying, “Flight attendants leave us alone to our devices after 5 hours, 2 planes, no snacks, no water, no A/C. Two people passed out, two vomited and to avoid a mutiny, the passengers banded together in song.”
Despite the hilarious video, which has since received over 200,000 views since its posting Monday, My Fox Phoenix notes that it wasn’t all fun and games for the Allegiant passengers.
The high in Las Vegas on Saturday was 112, leaving the passengers to cook in the fuselage of the airplane which had not air conditioning, no water or snacks. Two people are said to have suffered severe medical conditions including vomiting, nose bleeds and passing out.
“The woman that passed out, we actually had to find water in our luggage, in our carryons, so everyone was scrambling through our purses to see if they had extra water bottles,” described Francine Gutierrez, a passenger on the plane.
Representatives for Allegiant haven’t specifically addressed why the passengers were shuffled between the two plans, and why they left them on the tarmac for such a lengthy amount of time without A/C or water.
Passengers have been offered a voucher for $50 and $100 for being “inconvenienced.”
